Our corner markers are fresh from January of this year and we found them easily before we closed on the property back in May. We put a tall metal post at each corner marker and flagged the top and painted the post orange, trying to make it easier to spot from a distance. But.....we've been scratching our heads trying to figure out the best way to pull a STRAIGHT line 1,368 Ft (the depth of the lot) in order to fence the property perimeter.
After procrastinating coming up with a solution to this problem for a few weeks; I decided to reach out to the Surveyor who actually surveyed our lot and the 3 others for the Seller back in January - he's the one who dropped the corner markers. He remembered the property right away and agreed for a small fee, to come and drop us markers every 200 ft down each of the property lines. NOW we'll be able to put up a STRAIGHT fence without going over the property line.
We drove out before dark to see his handy-work. Between the low cut on our lot from us bushhogging a couple weeks ago, and the high tall weeds on the surrounding lots, in addition to the little pink flags fluttering every 200 Ft........WOW, that puts it into perspective just how big that piece of property is. It's beautiful though, and very peaceful.
