We are sad to say that we are selling our property. Because of serious health issues, we will not be able to move forward with the build and will be unable to physically maintain the acreage in the future. It kills us to give up our land, but after a LOT of consideration, we have decided it's the best decision for us. We currently have a buyer and are just waiting for the closing date. We will remain in the house we've been in since 1992, and most likely do a couple small renovations to implement some of the features we were looking forward to having in the new house. If you follow this website, in the future you may see it redesigned to follow the updates we'll make to our current house and yard. We still want to have a greenhouse and garden, maybe still the chickens - and we'll share the special little details we'll implement in the house updates that we had intended in the new build. Staying where we are was not the plan, but we'll make the most of our decision and move forward.
Welcome!
Come follow us on our home building journey.

10.13 Acres
Property is roughly 323 Ft X 1,368 Ft
We found it!!!!! We wanted a large acreage parcel, something 5 Acres or more. This parcel already had utilities at the road which was a must for us. We didn't want the added expense of bringing power or water down the road to us.
It's SOOO peaceful and quiet when we go out there.
We've found peanuts, wheat and cotton from what has been planted there in recent years.
We've also seen a lot of different types of birds and several Canadian Geese on the property. When we started bushhogging the other day we disturbed the dragonflies - there were THOUSANDS of them.
